According to China Daily, Three people were injured in a chemical plant blast in east China's Fujian Province at around 6:56 pm Monday. As of today, all three patrons are being treated for their injuries at a local hospital, yet the status of their current health have not been reported. This massive explosion has caused over 400 firefighters to battle the flames and caused issues around the area, including blown out windows from a gas station nearly 1 kilometer away. Unfortunately, this is not the first time an explosion at this site has occurred; this is the second time this has happened in nearly 20 months. China's environmental minister urged that construction of PX projects be
scientifically decided and must pass environmental impact assessment.

Two massive explosions in nearly twenty months is more dangerous than it seems, especially when they both were at the same site! It's scary to think about if they reopen when the next explosion would be and how severe. I think that it should by looked at more closely regards to everyones life, and dangerous chemicals that can be exploited to everyone as well.
ReplyDeleteThis comes as no surprise because China isnt known for its safety and environmental awareness. Not to sound callous but with a population over a billion you can always find someone to replace you.
